Yes, 34 of the springs we list in Europe have no entry fee, including Bullicame (Parco termale del Bullicame), Drangsnes Hot Pots (Pottarnir á Drangsnesi), Edipsos Springs (Loutra Aidipsou), Geothermal Goldfish Pond (Yltjörn) and Gjörvidalslaug (Gervidalslaug). Free springs are usually undeveloped, so expect no changing rooms or lifeguards, and check parking rules.

What is the hottest hot spring in Europe?

Of the springs with published temperatures, Therma Beach Hot Spring (Embros Thermae) runs hottest, at up to 86-122°F (30-50°C). Water that hot needs short soaks; test it with a hand before you get in.
