QC Spa Villa Arzaga Garda

Near Calvagese della Riviera, Lombardy, Italy

A QC Terme spa and golf resort in a restored 15th-century estate in the hills south-west of Lake Garda. The pools are heated; QC names no thermal spring here, so this is a spa, not a hot spring.

  • Not a hot spring: QC names no thermal source here and calls it a wellness circuit, unlike its Bormio and Dolomites sites.
  • Set in the former Palazzo Arzaga, a 15th-century estate beside the Arzaga golf course.
  • Open every day until 11 p.m., with a late-entry ticket from 7:30 p.m. from €44 (2026).
  • Satnavs can route you up private dirt lanes; QC says to avoid Via Trieste and Via Levrini.

Spa, not a hot spring

Start with the water, since this site lists hot springs. QC Terme runs some spas on real thermal water, and it says so: at QC Bagni Nuovi Bormio the pools are fed by natural hot springs, and at QC Spa Dolomiti it names the Pucia mineral spring (which is cold at source and heated). For Villa Arzaga, QC describes a “percorso benessere”, a wellness circuit, and names no spring or thermal source at all. Trade coverage of the opening talks about saunas, a barrel room and a steam bath, not thermal water. We found nothing suggesting a thermal source on the estate.

So treat QC Spa Garda as a heated-water day spa with good grounds. That is fine for an evening of saunas and hot tubs. It is not a hot spring.

The slug can cause confusion too. QC’s Garda spa is not at Colà di Lazise. The thermal park there, the Parco Termale del Garda at Villa dei Cedri, is a separate business on the Verona side of the lake, with spring water that comes out at about 99-108°F37-42°C.

What to expect

QC moved into the former Palazzo Arzaga, a 15th-century residence in the hills west of Lake Garda, between the lake and the Franciacorta wine area. Italia Absolutely reported the opening in January 2023. The estate has three residences, frescoed rooms with exposed beams, and direct access to the Arzaga golf course. The spa is part of the hotel complex, and day visitors are welcome with a booking.

QC counts 30 “wellness practices” in the circuit. The water features it lists:

  • Vasca di Garda: an outdoor pool with a view over the hills.
  • Vasca delle Sirene: an outdoor pool with massaging water. Closed from October 19 to November 9, 2026, for works.
  • Vasca delle Anguane: an outdoor bubble pool.
  • Cascata del Varone: an indoor pool with a strong waterfall, named after the waterfall near Riva del Garda.

The heat rooms include the Portico sul Vigneto and L’Uliveto saunas and the “Fienile sulla collina” steam bath. The Sala delle Botti uses infrared light among wine barrels. There are several relaxation rooms: the Giardino delle Ninfe with hammocks under a living wall, the Bosco delle Fate and the Prato Fiorito, all themed on Monte Baldo across the lake.

Getting there

The address is Via Arzaga 1, 25080 Calvagese della Riviera, in the province of Brescia. It sits west of the lake, about 7 km (4 miles) north-west of Desenzano del Garda as the crow flies.

  • By motorway: the closest A4 Milan-Venice exits are Desenzano del Garda and Brescia Est. QC publishes recommended routes from both, and from the villages of Solarolo and Polpenazze del Garda.
  • Satnav warning: QC asks drivers to set “QC Termegarda” as the destination and to avoid Via Trieste and Via Levrini, which are private dirt roads in poor condition.
  • On arrival: security staff meet you at the entrance.

Desenzano has the nearest main-line railway station on the Milan-Venice line; from there you will need a taxi.

When to go

The spa is open every day of the year from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Summer weekends and Italian holidays are the busiest. QC’s listed holiday periods are October 31 to November 1, December 5 to 8, December 24 to January 6, February 13-14 and March 26-29.

Weekday mornings are the quietest. If you only want a couple of hours, the late-entry ticket from 7:30 p.m. is the cheapest way in.

Prices and booking

QC publishes “from” prices that change with the date. The 2026 list:

  • 5-hour entry: from €64
  • Unlimited day entry: from €72
  • Evening entry, from 5 p.m.: from €64
  • Late entry, from 7:30 p.m.: from €44, without the aperitif
  • Entry with a 25, 50 or 75-minute massage: from €122, €166 and €216
  • Couples’ entry with a couples’ massage: from €244 for two

All tickets include the robe, towel and slippers. Bring your own swimsuit. Food from outside is not allowed; a buffet lunch (€29 or €34) can be added. At Garda, unlike most QC sites, you can book the evening aperitif in advance with your ticket.

Rules shared across QC:

  • Booking is compulsory. No walk-ins. Arrive within 30 minutes of your slot.
  • One entry. No leaving and coming back the same day.
  • Age 14 and up for day visitors; hotel guests may bring children from age 5, with an adult, and children cannot use saunas or steam rooms.
  • No entry during pregnancy.

Where to stay nearby

The QC Grand Hotel Villa Arzaga Garda is on the estate, with rooms that connect directly to the spa; guests use the circuit from the 3 p.m. check-in to the 11 a.m. check-out. QC sells golf, stay and spa packages; one listed in 2026 started at €298. Otherwise, Desenzano, Salò and the villages along the western shore all have hotels and agriturismi within about 10-15 km (6-9 miles).

Other QC spas

This guide also covers QC Bagni Nuovi Bormio, QC Terme Bagni Vecchi, QC Spa Dolomiti and QC Spa Milano. For real thermal water near the lake, see Terme di Sirmione.

Safety notes

  • Heat. Saunas and hot tubs add up over a long day. Drink water and take breaks.
  • Wet floors between the outdoor pools, especially on cold evenings.
  • Health. QC bars pregnant women. Anyone with heart or blood pressure problems should check with a doctor before using saunas.
  • Driving. Stick to QC’s routes rather than the private lanes, especially after dark.
